A properly designed cabling infrastructure is step one. To insure that the design is followed, specifications are required. These specifications include the ways and means of bringing the design to reality. Specifications include all critical information about the design, and therefore act as the "Instruction Manual" for your cabling infrastructure.

Specifications include:

  1. General requirements for administration documents such as insurance requirements, bonding information, deliverables and sign off (completion) requirements.
  2. Product requirements indicating what will be used to complete the design.
  3. Execution requirements indicating how the work will be accomplished.

These instructions serve to protect your investment by insuring that the cabling infrastructure was installed to current industry standards. A proper design and a specification are key to the successful installation of a network cabling infrastructure. That is why, at BIGI, Inc., we have RCDDs on staff to assist you with this critical phase of the cabling infrastructure process.
